Tampa Bay Lightning is Hiring a Business Operations Manager Near Tampa, FL
- Serve as advisor to CEO to identify organizational strategic priorities, timelines, and manage follow through on execution of related strategic projects
- Participate in meetings and events with community partners, government agencies, and other external stakeholders and supporters, whether alongside or on behalf of the CEO
- Serve as information source and partner to CEO and Executive team to ensure they are updated on all important information, projects and developments
- Provide project management on various business initiatives
- Manage investor relations and act as a liaison to facilitate working relationships
- Create weekly dashboards for business financials
- Prepare and assist CEO with key action items and operation directives
- Proactively identify ways to improve efficiencies across VSG
- Represent the CEO in management and operational meetings as needed
- Provide the VP of New Business Ventures with support as needed
- Prepare research reports on industry trends and developments
- Disseminate information and assist with cross-department collaboration
- Handle communications for the CEO where applicable and connect with both internal and external parties with a high level of integrity and tact
- Create high quality documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 3-6 years of professional or collegiate sports/business related experience.
- Project management experience is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and other advanced computer skills required
- Ability to interact professionally and confidentially with all levels of ownership, management and staff
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
- Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
- Ability to handle regular activities without prompting, and advise in advance of issues or delays
- Strong team synergy skills and ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over
- Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
- Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department
