Tally is Hiring a Remote Collections Specialist

We are looking for a friendly, compassionate, and tech-savvy professional to work cross-functionally with different teams within Tally to directly optimize and improve our risk operations. The ideal person has keen, meticulous business acumen and a strong sense of human empathy. As a remote employee, this role will report directly to our Collections Manager.

Tally is backed by some of the world’s top investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, and Kleiner Perkins, and has raised $172MM in total funding.

The impact this role will have at Tally:

  • Daily outreach to delinquent members via phone, email, and SMS to resolve outstanding payments owed to Tally
  • Quickly understand members’ circumstances and establish payment arrangements that suit both the member and business needs
  • Process bankruptcy filings in a precise and timely manner
  • Lead and develop best practices for our collections policies and procedures in accordance with FDCPA regulations
  • Collaborate closely with other departments (Analytics, Business Operations, and Credit) to test new strategic initiatives 

In this role we value:

  • Experience working with customers facing difficult situations. You thrive on empathy and problem-solving.
  • Experience testing strategies for collections and executing those plans to improve repayment to Tally
  • Clear communication and ability to resolve complex problems creatively and easily
  • Ability to handle a high volume of inbound and outbound contacts via phone and email in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Experience using customer support software such as Zendesk, RingCentral, Autodialers, and GSuite
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in collections or payment operations
  • A huge plus if you have experience at a financial services company.
