Title: Engineer-In-Training (EIT) 

Client: G3 Engineering & Surveying

Location: Pawleys Island, SC (in-person)

We’re hiring a motivated Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to join our team!

The EIT will apply engineering principles to the design, permitting, and production of construction documents for residential, commercial, and municipal land development projects, both large and small.

• Flexible work schedule; core hours are Monday-Thursday 9:00 am-4:00 pm & Friday 9:00 am-1:00 pm 

What you’ll be doing: 

• Prepare construction plans, including notes and details, plan and profile sheets, and x-sections
• Create and submit project permitting packages 
• Prepare construction cost estimates 

• Perform water/sewer/stormwater design calculations and reporting for commercial, residential and municipal projects
• Prepare contract documents suitable for bidding
• Perform related tasks associated with this position as may be assigned
• Light travel may be required

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from accredited program
• 3 years of experience in the civil engineering field
• Professional P.E. license in the state of South Carolina or effort to obtain licensure
• Functionally proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word 

• Functional knowledge of AutoCAD is required (proficiency is a plus) 
• Experience in using design and modeling software is a plus (ICPR, WaterCAD, StormCAD) 
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently or on a team
• Ability to work within budget and schedule constraints on multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient written & oral communication skills; ability to interact with peers, clients and public
