Position: Director of Sales

Location: Denver, Colorado

Compensation: $120,000 - $160,000 range DOE

What you’ll do: 

The Director of Sales reports directly to the CEO in our headquarters. As part of the CEO’s team, you will play a critical role in the driving the growth of our sales teams, as well as the growth of all Tendit locations and companies.

  • Building, coaching, and managing a team of sales representatives and account managers
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the exterior services marketplace and market conditions to further develop sales strategy
  • Educating sales and account management teams on industry innovations, updates in company service portfolio, additions to company portfolio as a whole
  • Development of processes designed to improve performance of sales team
  • Leading pipeline and account reviews with team to identify areas for improvement
  • Collaboration with leadership team and stakeholders to implement strategies and procedures on forecasting, closing of sales
  • Identification of industry trends to determine competitive positioning and inform strategic recommendations to optimize results
  • Delivering data measurements to show progress
  • Conducting sales call visits to target areas, strategic accounts, and business segments located in a specific market or region
  • Provide guidance on performance management, career coaching and progressive discipline -identify, develop, and implement progressive talent processes
  • Review and assist in the creation of sales activity and regional group strategies on a bi-monthly basis with leadership team
  • Quarterly review and management of department budget
  • Monthly travel within Mountain West region
  • Contribution to due diligence efforts as a part of the acquisition and growth team
  • Developing a unified sales narrative to effectively cross-sell across company platforms to find opportunities for growth of existing accounts
  • Providing guidance and training to sales and account management staff, aligning team initiatives with the company mission
  • Definition of lead management and lead distribution guidelines to maximize profit generation

What you need to succeed:

As the Director of Sales, for this position will have proven experience in developing sales strategy, sales teams, implementing and driving best practices for account management in a construction or facilities services environment, superior financial and business acumen, along with excellent communication and relationship building skills with all levels of the organization. The successful candidate will be a foundational member of our company, and one of the main facilitators of our company’s growth.

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in progressive Sales Management positions, including managing a team and being the top Sales professional in a medium sized company responsible for the entire function
  • A thorough understanding of management and data administration duties such as analysis, distribution, people management, and performance management
  • The ability and eagerness to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • The ability and desire to travel and get involved with at all company locations
  • Must have a “roll up your sleeves” approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking
  • Proven success in the leadership and development of high performing sales teams
  • Direct experience with prospect development or administration in a sales environment
  • Ability to grow, adapt and change to meet the needs of the business and its customers
  • A willingness to come in to work every day and find ways we can improve on what we did yesterday
