Our Arizona office is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer. The Senior Civil Engineer position requires technical expertise in roadway and highway or transit design. The engineering duties are comprehensive, which include planning and scheduling of engineering work, client contacts, performing more advanced design, and developing contract plans, specifications and bid estimates. The desire or ability to market and obtain new work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Engineer for transportation-related projects.
• Key member of project delivery team who leads and performs complex analysis, design and production of plans, specifications and estimates.
• Assist with marketing transportation design projects, preparing proposals, and participating in proposal interviews.
• Develop production work plans, schedules and budgets.
• Work with other project managers and to establish and monitor contract budgets and scopes of work.
• Ensure proper codes and standards are being used by engineers on projects.
• Responsible for the successful completion of projects under his/her direction.
• Assures deliverables have met project quality requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• P.E. license and at least 8 years of transportation design experience.
• Experience in project management is highly desirable.
• Requires advanced knowledge of roadway or transit design and analysis software (Microstation InRoads, AutoCAD Civil3D, etc.).
• Experience in project delivery with line-item bid.
• Experience with transit agencies, local agency, and municipality procedures, specifications and special provisions is preferred.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive engineering reports.
• Successful experience managing transportation design projects and design teams.
