POSITION STATUS: This is a part-time position

PAYSCALE: This is a tipped position

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a host your main objective and priority is to warmly welcome and greet our guests upon their arrival. You also manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. Other responsibilities are as follows:

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival making eye contact.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of guests in party.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting time.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
• Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing the flow in service stations.
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
• Relay messages to serving specialists and bus persons as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is out-going, friendly, and someone who works well in a team environment. Here are some other qualifications needed for this position:

Education and experience:

• High school diploma with a continuous record of learning.
• No experience required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Professional Requirements

• Pleasant and polite manner.
• Strong guest service skills with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to coordinate, multitask and remain composed.

Physical Settings and Schedule

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
• Be able to stand position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
