T&R Market Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager who is comfortable with responsibility to join our team. This position requires a talent for managing accounting duties along with administrative aspects of the accounting office. Included is oversight of; AP/AR processing, payroll, bank reconciliations, P&L preparation, & other related accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a busy office and coordinating a small staff of employees. To ensure success as our bookkeeper/Office Manager, you should have knowledge of accounting principles & excellent office management/interpersonal skills. Minimum age 21, 40 hr./week, pay DOE.

Requirements

Bookkeeper/Office Manager Job Responsibilities: 

• Supports company operations by; maintaining office systems, supervising staff, &facilitating problem solving/resolution with customers as may be necessary.
• Maintain consistent confidentiality throughout office operations
• Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures, controlling correspondence, assigning and monitoring clerical functions, & tracking business financial transactions.
• Maintain/Organize & manage general bookkeeping processes of the company (General Ledger, Journal entries, ACH, AP, AR, etc.)
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related responsibilities as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports & provide information accountants and auditors request for reports and audits
• Prepare monthly financial statements by performing period close activities
• Oversight of weekly payroll & overall reconciliation of accounts
• Use of Sage Accounting, MS Excel, Word, and other provided software
• Interface with customers via telephone, e-mail, fax when needed
• Maintain positive attitude, accuracy, integrity, and willingness to be a “team oriented” leader providing coaching & training as needed
• File monthly, quarterly and annual Sales & Use Taxes
• Oversee maintenance of vendor accounts/files (W-9s, liability insurance certificates, etc.)
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise administrative staff.
• Other responsibilities as may be required related to accounting/managerial duties

Education & Experience: 

• Bookkeeping/Office Managerial: 2 years (Preferred)
• Proficiency in Sage (Preferred)

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to see & discern numbers, characters, etc, for extended periods on monitors
• Ability to move/lift items (min, height of 4’ occasionally) and carry a minimum of 35#
• Ability to use keyboard/mouse/ other related peripherals
