General Summary:

The Sr. Software Engineer will be responsible for the full software development life cycle and will function as an essential member of the team. They will need to be able to quickly identify problems, determine the appropriate solutions, implement the solutions in a clean, easy to maintain way, and write appropriate tests. They will need to effectively communicate with the team and other stakeholders throughout Syringa Networks. We do not offer H1B visa sponsorship. This position is open to remote candidates, but local candidates are preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

• Write clean software that is easy to maintain
• Add in new functionality, fix existing functionality, as well as write new applications
• Work with the team to develop good processes for quality software development
• Function as an essential member in an Agile Scrum team
• Work with stakeholders to identify requirements
• Work with fellow software engineers to further knowledge and understanding

• Verify new applications, features and bug fixes meet the required specifications
• Suggest improvements to user experience
• Work with other departments to develop software for automating processes and procedures

Education and Experience: 

• B.S. or higher in Computer Science required
• Ten years of experience in Software development minimum
• Experience in Telecommunications/networking required
• Experience writing SQL queries

• Experience with C# in a .NET framework required
• Experience with JavaScript, NativeScript, Perl, PHP, Python preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
• Experience with Microsoft SQL, MySQL required
• Experience writing web and mobile applications

• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven organization and time management skills
