What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community & Partnership Activation Manager position at Syracuse Crunch?
The Syracuse Crunch are seeking a Community & Partnership Activation Manager to successfully develop and execute community and sponsorship initiatives.
This position will provide critical planning, operation and support on a day-to-day basis for a wide range of community relations and sponsor programs. The Community & Partnership Activation Manager will cultivate long-term relationships with area organizations, community stakeholders, corporate partners and fans.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all fundraising efforts for the Crunch Foundation – the charitable extension of the Syracuse Crunch that works to positively impact the Central New York Community by providing support and funds to nonprofit groups, education programs and community initiatives
- Plan, coordinate and attend community and sponsor events to promote team and partner outreach efforts
- Coordinate the team’s nonprofit sales programs
- Facilitate outside requests for charitable, promotional and mascot appearances and donations
- Oversee the Crunch Crew and in-game promotional team activations
- Manage the Syracuse Crunch Game Day Auctions through the GiveSmart platform
- Schedule, coordinate and execute sponsored community programs such as the Amazon Community Hero of the Game, Tully’s Good Times Military Hosting and Dunkin’ Munchkins Hosting
- Create sponsorship proposals, including working with other departments to identify and develop new sponsorable inventory
- Be day-to-day contact and manage contract fulfillment for several current corporate partners
- Assist with game day events and activation for partners, including but not limited to special activations, pre-game, in-game and intermission promotions, hospitality events, promotional activations and displays
- Identify opportunities to enhance activation assets, plans and processes to deliver partner results
- Assist in maintaining sponsorship inventory, including signage, in-game assets, ticketing and digital programs
- Gather and maintain proof of performance of sponsorship assets to create reports and recaps
- Work home games along with additional events as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- Must be creative, strategic, highly organized with strong project management skills
- Possess and demonstrate an extremely strong proficiency in communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Customer service-oriented demeanor
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating in a team dynamic
