Material Handler 1 This position is responsible for performing routine and non-routine tasks involved in the shipment of materials, supplies and equipment. Job Description: Responsibilities: Responsible for performing routine and non-routine tasks involved in the shipment of materials, supplies and equipment. • Package product for shipment as required. • Monitor and manage shipping supplies; prepare purchase requisitions to replenish supplies as needed. • Perform data entry on computer. • Monitor bin inventory levels in shipping areas and replenish as necessary. • Operate from established procedures. Maintain an ongoing updated Log Book for BOMs and drawings. • Job encounters regular and recurring work situations. Contacts are made on own initiative with other departments and/or carriers concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation, or approval. • Perform other related duties as assigned. • Contributes to team effort. Requirements: High School education or equivalent reading, writing and math ability. Ability to lift and carry items up to 70 lbs in weight on a semi-repetitive basis. Education and Experience: High School education or equivalent reading, writing and math ability. Less than 1 year of experience Skills/Knowledge: Previous warehouse experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for this position is $17.30 - $25.95 per hour. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
