Responsibilities

Network Engineer II

The Network Engineer II will deal with all aspects related to the maintenance, repair and support of networks and products to ensure continued operation and functionality of the network, systems and products.

This role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing high-quality technical support to customers at all levels, speaking with a high level of technical understanding,
• Resolving complex technical problems
• Proactively prevent new issues as it relates to Synoptek and their client’s IT infrastructures
• Detailed understanding of routing and switching in non-standard/ complex deployment environments

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• ITIL, CCNA Route/Switch Additional CCNA or alternate vendor equivalent or CCNA Security
• 5 years of technical experience
• 3 years position specific experience
• 2 years of mentorship experience
• 2 years of Project/Client Engagement and Customer Facing
• Proficient with multiple network technologies
• Proficient Firewall/security experience (access control list (ACL) management, secure remote management practices, IDS, etc.
• Strong working knowledge in access technologies such as LDAP, RADIUS,
• TACACS
