Job Description

Role purpose

  • Lead and develop a high performing sales team
  • International sales manager responsibilities include identifying suitable business sales opportunities for the organization he/she works with and convincing the international clients to buy the products and services of the same.
  • Contribute to the development of sales campaigns and ensure implementation with focus on NPIs
  • Contributing and directing the implementation of the sales strategy to optimize overall sales volume, market share and profit targets
  • Provide continuous support on market & customer evolution that helps Go To Market strategies for country
  • Work in coordination with Crop team, Market trialing team, Tech support and coordinate Demos & DG plans
  • Identifies key customer services insights to support design of customer services related policies e.g. MOQ, MOV and Credit Limit etc.
  • Support Positioning, pricing, rebate and marketing communication.
  • Lead product registrations and licensing for smooth business with in geography

  • Maximize sales team effectiveness: hiring, capability building, performance management, motivation maximizing sales revenue in existing markets, expanding sales into new territories, and researching trends to develop accurate sales projections.
  • Achieve sales and profit targets
  • Ensure implementation of sales campaigns, pricing plans, manage distributor rebates and customer incentive plans
  • Ensure effective management of "pull" programs at farm level in accordance with channel management strategy

Overarching accountabilities

  • Develop customer segmentation models with the help of GTM Team
  • Provide input to crop marketing to ensure that crop offers will drive market share gain
  • Contribute to country strategy, strategic agenda, and overall management of the business
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with customers based on their assigned territory
  • Searching for opportunities that enhance the sales and benefit the clients
  • Making the clients understand about the various products and services
  • Providing outstanding and special services to the international clients
  • Contribute to the optimization and alignment of pricing policy
  • Ensure that all relevant company policies are well understood and implemented by the sales team and where necessary customers, particularly compliance, competition law, local legislation and commercial policy
  • Consolidates, reviews and evaluates information regarding market trends, product needs and competitive environment to contribute to the development of the sales strategy
  • Reviews operational activities to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Responsible for developing and coaching Division Managers, continuously enhancing leadership skills as well as broadening business knowledge
  • Builds and fosters a team culture that values, recognizes and generates a business oriented, customer focused organization
  • Ensures proper forecasting and accuracy of sales volume
  • Drive product positioning & validating protocol through tech support trials/team for success of products.

Qualifications

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

  • Required to go abroad very frequently, meet the international clients and work there.
  • Remains very busy in interacting with them and displays the products and services to them. irregular working hours that depend from one job to another.
  • Vegetable products, key competitor products and understanding of geographical need
  • Crops and agronomy knowledge
  • Customers / Channels in country
  • Internal processes / governance
  • ฺBasic understanding of Marketing, Business operations and finance

Critical experience

  • Experience of the agri-business sector in Sales, Business development and Strategy at least 10-15 years 
  • Team Management experience
  • Experience in campaign management
  • Working relationship with cross functions

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

  • Understand market dynamics and competitive environment in Veg markets in SE Asia and translate it into Business delivery
  • Ability to apply Sales Excellence effectively
  • Support effective field force strategy
  • Support effective CRM strategies
  • Able to use market research effectively to understand customer, markets and channels, GTM execution
  • Anticipates changes in the market and adjusts strategies accordingly
  • Analytical thinking, Strategic thinking, Influencing and negotiation, Communication and presentation skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Program / project management

Additional Information

• Domestic and some international travel required
• Mobility-open to relocate as per business need
