This is a fully remote position.

Job Summary for Vice President Business Development:

The VP of Business Development is a highly collaborative, influential, and experienced senior leader responsible for initiating and closing sales opportunities that significantly accelerate the company’s growth and profitability. This position achieves these goals by developing and implementing the company’s business development strategy and tactics. The VP Business Development will initiate, lead, and fully own the lead generation and business sales process by identifying and evaluating sales opportunities and bringing opportunities through to negotiation and contract signing.

Essential Function for Vice President Business Development:

  • Establish and achieve/exceed sales goals, metrics, and milestones. Track and report on progress and success
  • Work with the Business Development team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Initiate and develop relationships with key prospects to identify and meet prospects’ business needs
  • Oversee and implement full sales cycle, including market research, needs analysis, pitch, closing, renewal, and upsell
  • Maintain relationships with clients to ensure project success
  • Work with the Finance team to create accurate proformas
  • Follow a sales process workflow and fully own the process of contract execution
  • Travel on-site to present to C-Suite leadership
  • Participate in industry conferences and trade shows
  • Demonstrate and maintain a proficient and thorough understanding of all service lines
  • Review trade journals, periodicals, internet, media, etc. on a regular basis to identify/stay abreast of industry trends/changes and new business opportunities
  • Travel expectation is 80%

Requirements

Competencies for Vice President Business Development:

  • 10 or more years of successful sales or business development experience in hospital-based staffing and management sales
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate/work effectively and professionally with C-suite executives, both internal and external
  • Management experience and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
  • Excellent presentation delivery skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and urgent atmosphere
  • Ability to maintain dependable internet and phone communication from a remote location, responding in a timely manner to requests for service and assistance
  • Outstanding and collaborative communication skills with teammates across the organization
