Salary Range: $80,414 - $170,179. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.

Synaptech is looking for talented, innovative software engineers to join our dynamic Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis software team!
What you will do at Synaptech:
- Full stack web development of dynamic software applications featuring 3D graphics, animations, geospatial analysis, and data analytics to support physics-based modeling and simulation, wargaming applications, and space warfighting analysis.
- Work with a team of space domain experts, astrophysicists, aerospace engineers, UX design experts, and other talented software engineers to create the next generation of software tools for space warfighters and operational analysts.
- Write software applications and perform analysis that influences the development of the next generation of US space assets across multiple domains including Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), communications, missile warning, navigation, and more.
- Explore and experiment with new software development technologies and programming languages to spur innovation and develop entirely new applications and features!
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 3 -12 years of professional development experience or master’s degree in a STEM field with 1 - 10 years of professional development experience.
- Solid understanding of and experience employing modern object-oriented programming languages.
- Growth mindset and willingness to continually learn and apply new technologies.
- Possess or be able to attain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship
Nice to have:
- B.S. and/or M.S. in Computer Science or similar discipline
- Experience with front-end web development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proficiency in React, Angular, or other modern front-end JS frameworks, build tools, and environments (Node.js, Webpack, etc.)
- Experience developing microservices and REST APIs
- Experience working with large data sets through databases, JSON, and XML
- Proficiency in NoSQL database design, maintenance, and operations (MongoDB is a plus)
- Experience with 3D graphics programming, including ThreeJS and WebGL
- Experience using 3D geospatial libraries (Cesium, Web WorldWind, etc.)
- Experience in container-based deployment using Docker
- Experience as an agile Scrum Master or Product Owner
- Software team leadership experience
- Modeling and Simulation experience
- Space domain experience
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Preferred – TS/SCI
- Nice to Have – Secret
- Acceptable – Ability to obtain a security clearance
