BI Tech Lead/Manager

Our BI (business intelligence) team is working on latest cloud-based tools for ETL, reporting, analysis and is providing performance monitoring and insights via dashboards, scorecards and ad hoc data analysis which help create Customer Engagement reporting and modelling for our client in Bio-Pharmaceutical space.

​​​​​​​ ROLE: BI Tech lead/Manager

As the BI Tech Lead, you manage the BI team and partner with client's team on prioritize projects, enhancements and operation support issues; you will oversee the technical execution of BI projects encompassing research, design and implementation of data platforms, data analysis, data pipelines, data models, reports/dashboards and data-driven applications. You will design and implement processes to mitigate data quality issues. As a leader you find it rewarding to mentor and bring out the best in a talented team of Reporting, ETL, data Analysts and Data Visualization engineers. And as a good collaborator you will work closely with the other development teams, business stakeholders within organization to plan, coordinate, and deliver according to a high-level roadmap items and operational support issues within SLAs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establish functional and technical requirements, design, data models as needed for projects, enhancements and operations support work

2. Design, Develop, debug dashboards, customized reports and scorecards based on business requirements

3. Collaborate with the rest of the Data Services and development team in India and in the US to gather requirements from business and translate them into technical solutions.

4. Build compelling story, new product features and actionable insights using Data

5. Manage ad hoc analytic requests for OLTP and OLAP systems in an accurate and efficient manner.

6. Responsible for reviewing and optimization of SQL queries and investigating dashboard performance issues.

7. Support, Forecasting and mentor young team consisting of data engineers, data visualization experts and data analytics professionals.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Must have 7-8 years of Experienced complete lifecycle of at least one data warehouse/Business Intelligence program at Enterprise scale.

2. Must have 2 years of experience distributed BI Analytics/data warehouse and reporting dev team onshore and offshore

3. Must have 2 experience in BI operational support supporting multiple business groups and meeting SLA for operational support issues

4. Must have 2 years hands-on experience in design, development, data model design for data warehousing applications.

5. Extensive experience with SQL databases and data architecture and must have hands on dev experience dashboard tools like Sisense, Talend or PowerBI

6. Extensive experience in multidimensional data modeling; star schemas, snowflakes, denormalized models, handling - slow-changing- dimensions/attributes.

7. Understanding of disciplined approach towards Data Visualization and Reporting.

8. Nice to have Experience in setting up complex ETL processes, involving relational and non-relational data.

9. Must have hands on development and design Experience with at least one major BI/Reporting Application like Sisense , power BI or Talend

10. Ability to lead cross-functional team communication and develop cross-functional partnerships.

11. Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills.

12. Proven hands-on experience of at least 2 years with our Data Technology Stack (SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Snap logic/Informatica, Sisense)

13. 2 years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure) and Big Data stacks

14. Excellent grasp of data structures, data modeling, sql, and interaction between applications and data.

15. Ability to quickly grasp existing systems, goals and tech. options for given situations.

16. Nice to have Experience with analytics and statistical modelling using R/Python
