Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Information Assurance Engineer III

• Lead security training and communicate policies.
• Create and execute policy and audit plans.
• Identify security risks and operation needs.
• Review configuration and updates to ensure software and infrastructure and protected.
• Design the technical solutions for network boundary protection, endpoint security, access control, auditing, and network monitoring.
• Assess network and system vulnerability.
• Assess application and software security.
• Assess and monitor database security.
• Assure software security.
• Assess the security configuration.
• Provide compliance management.
• Provide incident handling, response, and reporting.
• Provide technical security support to Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes and testing and security impact assessments as part of change management.
• Provide oversight and direction to staff on major projects.

Required Skills and Experience

***Must have outstanding Interpersonal and communication skills***

• Expert knowledge in Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special. Publication (SP) 800-30, NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53a, NIST SP 800-61, NIST 800-171, Army Regulation (AR) 25-2, and AR-380-5.
• Expert knowledge of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Services (eMASS).
• Expert knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.

Professional Certifications

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Identity and Access Management (IAM) Level III certification

Formal Education

Bachelor of Science

Years of Professional Experience

10 years’ experience in relevant field

Security Clearance Requirements

Must possess a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Citizenship

U.S. Citizenship Required
