POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Business Development is responsible for accomplishing business development activities and achieving sales goals for Symbria business lines; including Symbria Rehab, Well-Being and Symbria Rx Services to meet short and long-term strategic objectives for growth. Ability to position and promote Symbria services in their entirety to prospective clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales penetration plans for sales assignment to include the securing of new accounts and expanding existing clients’ business consistent with overall sales strategy.
  • Create and develop a robust pipeline of sales prospects for your assigned regions.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the product knowledge and service offerings for Symbria and be able to use and apply them as needed to develop solutions and meet prospects needs.
  • Develop an understanding of the Senior Living Industry- the legislative environment and reimbursement updates and issues, and customer needs.
  • Work with management and marketing communications to develop consistent sales presentations and supportive resources.
  • Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage prospects through the sales process and create sales forecasts.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and/or annual goals for Symbria business lines as assigned by the Symbria leadership.
  • Contribute market intelligence gathered from field experience and report and/or recommend actions both for tactical and strategic planning.
  • Plan and work exhibit booths at state association conferences and trade shows as assigned and follow up on new business leads or opportunities with existing clients.
  • Provide printed or verbal weekly and/or monthly reports on sales activity and results.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled coaching sessions with manager.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Travel as required to meet sales goals.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional performance in a sales position or customer engagement position; minimum seven years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in selling and servicing the senior-living and long-term care environment, including reimbursement sources and products.
  • Proven sales, project management and customer leadership ability and skills.
  • Strong strategic, creative, analytical, time management and people skills.
  • Established ability to source, acquire, develop and retain accounts to include: lead generation, territory management, sales plan execution, selling skills and contact resource management.
  • The Director is expected to live in their assigned territory to develop strong business relationships and visibility through frequent in-person contact with prospective clients, networking and participation in industry and professional associations across the region.
