SWA Group is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Sausalito, CA

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for maintaining and administering various HR functions. The HR Generalist will be responsive to internal customers (all Employees) while also assisting with Payroll and Benefits. There is growth potential for this position.

General Duties:

  • Reviewing Electronic Timesheets (semi-monthly) for accuracy and completion (understanding overtime regulations for Non-Exempt/hourly)
  • Assist tracking new hires and terminations
  • Review employee all new hire forms for completion, tracking, enrolling with carrier, adding to Insurance spreadsheet.
  • Employee Data base entry: experience Vision preferred.
  • High email communication with employees (7 off site locations). Outlook and Newforma filing of emails.
  • Process I-9 Employment Verification using Everify
  • Maintain Sexual Harassment Training tracking and send online courses to employees when needed. Follow up when courses are not completed.
  • Visa and Green Card Administration assistance – working with Immigration Attorney, completing forms, getting signature, returning forms efficiently
  • Benefits – invoice reconciliations (Cigna Partially Self-Insured/International/China, Dental/Life Insurance)
  • Keep organized the high volume of hard copy paperwork and electronic filing
  • Keep track of performance reviews

Experience in the following areas:

  • Foreign employee and immigration regulations/administration (F1, H1B & Green card)
  • Benefits Administration
  • Personnel file administration/organization

Human Resources Generalist Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excel, Bookkeeping and Balancing, Thoroughness, General Math Skills, strong ability to work with a varied team, proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and very strong organizational skills.
  • Strong Time Management skills
  • Experience with Deltek Vision accounting system, ADP, or Ascentis Payroll Software preferred
  • Excellent, effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of personnel; strong, positive, collaborative interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness in stress and pressure situations
  • Ability to function effectively in a role that supports the overall needs of the organization
  • Flexible and adaptive; team player
  • Ability to safeguard confidentiality
  • Ability to gather facts and information and remain objective
  • Strong sense of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to demonstrate patience with employees who may not be fluent in English.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate a wide range of issues and situations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, set reasonable priorities and manage time and deadline driven workload
  • Strong planning and organizational skills

Education: Associates Degree (A.A.) from a two year institute; 3 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Up to date education and training in HR matters (legal, compliance, trends).

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply legal background and research in formulating and delivering recommendations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Accomplishes all of the above with a good attitude and a team-player.
