About the Role:
SVT’s Cloud Portal is the one stop shop for SVT support teams and customers to get information about our products, manage their account, engage with support teams, correspond with others, and more. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Portal team to maximize product value that will drive our business forward. As part of the Portal team within Product, you will be responsible for building innovative data integrations and rich user experiences for our core product. The team interfaces with many other teams and you will be expected to iterate quickly and deliver functional increments. This role is remote friendly.

A potential day in the life of SVT’s Software Engineer (Full Stack), Product - Portal:
- Take product ideas from ideation to implementation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other engineers, product managers, and product designers to iterate on our product
- Write well-tested and well-organized production-quality code, with an emphasis on maintainability
- Participate in engineering discussions and gain knowledge and experience in best practices
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Offer technical opinions that may end up shaping both technology and product decisions
- Form strong working relationships with other employees who share a passion for solving problems and delivering value
- Build rich UIs and lightweight back-end services that seamlessly tie together multiple systems in an easy-to-use fashion
Required skills/qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working in a software engineering role
- Like to work closely with senior engineers, customers and stakeholders to build features and solve problems
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where directives change quickly, and willing to be flexible around east coast working hours
- Basic understanding and capability with front-end web development (HTML, CSS)
- Basic understanding of web services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and empathy
- Self‐starter and problem solver, willing to solve difficult problems and work independently when necessary
- You value high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
