Susquehanna Health and Wellness Center is currently looking for a full time Director of Human Resources (HR)! This is a great opportunity to gain HR experience with HEALTHCARE HEROS!

Requirements of the Director of Human Resources (HR):

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development preferred.
  • Two (2) plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions preferably in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine Required

Responsibilities of the Director of Human Resources (HR):

  • Performance management and improvement systems;
  • Organization development and training in support of organizational directives;
  • Management of Employment and compliance/ regulatory concerns;
  • Employee staffing, orientation, development, and training;
  • Policy implementation and education;
  • Employee relations including direction of the employee engagement committee;
  • Compensation and benefits administration;
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health management including management of location Workers Compensation and Unemployment programs.

We are working around the clock to keep our residents and staff healthy and safe and are following the recommended protocols and guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We ensure all employees and residents have the required PPE to protect them from potential exposure during this COVID-19 epidemic. Additionally, Numerous precautions have been implemented in all nursing centers such as temperature and symptom screening, screening all employees, restricting visitors and enhancing cleaning of high touch surfaces.
