SUS1004SUSR is Hiring a Sr Financial Analyst Near Arlington, TX

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and/or reviewing the Bank’s annual budget financial statements and reports, rolling forecasts, performing high quality financial analysis and additional projects and duties as requested to support the Finance Manager and the CFO.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly reports on cost center financial performance compared to budget.
  • Administer and maintain the budgeting and forecasting system. This includes documenting, setting, and maintaining forecast assumptions.
  • Administer and maintain the financial reporting and planning software (Axiom).
  • Prepares the annual budget at a cost center level. Meeting with all internal stakeholders on a regular cadence during the budget cycle to continuously inform the plan.
  • Works with all budget holders in the bank to develop their budgets and communicate monthly how they are performing compared to budget.
  • Uses the planning software to prepare the budget and provide details to the executive team.
  • Prepare board slides on final budget results.
  • On a monthly/quarterly basis will re-forecast the plan using current actuals.
  • Ad-hoc modeling and business line support as needed including product or project ROI.
  • Works with accounting to make sure entries are aligned with budgeted plans.
  • Assist with month end close procedures. 
  • Assist with ALM modeling, capital planning and liquidity management.
  • Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank.
  • Maintains the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting.
  • 3 – 5 years of financial reporting experience in a financial institution preferred, but not required.
  • Understanding of purpose of financial statements, KPI’s, and loan cash flows.
  • Experience using Axiom or a similar financial reporting system preferred.
  • Experience using Cognos or similar system preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a strong Microsoft Excel skillset.
  • SQL knowledge preferred, but not required.
