S:US is looking for a Food Services Director for our Adult Families Shelter
About the Position
The Food Services Director at S:US will manage and monitor all aspects of developing a nutritious daily menu and meal preparation for homeless individuals, including those with special diets. You will monitor the shelter's food inventory, purchasing approvals, and the upkeep of kitchen supplies and equipment. As the Food Service Director, you will take the lead in safe and sanitary handling and storage of all food items in accordance with applicable regulations as well as assist in implementing a Daily Cooking and Nutrition (part of Daily Living Skills) training curriculum for Shelter Residents. It is important that you are available for weekend and evening hours as additional shifts and duties may be assigned as needed.
About the Homeless Services
S:US is working hard to help prevent homelessness by operating homeless individuals and families, for people living with HIV/AIDS, for individuals with mental health challenges, and for families experiencing domestic violence. We also connect homeless people to medical centers to ensure primary medical care and adherence to treatment. Our Homeless Services include homeless prevention, shelters, outreach services, and transition services.
Salary: $60,000 / year
