Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain applications using C#, .NET, Silverlight, ASP.NET, Visual Studio and Team Foundation Studio
  • Build and maintain WCF web services.
  • Design, develop, and unit test code in autonomous fashion (limited supervision)
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide technical assistance to deployment analysts and technical support
  • Write design documents for all projects and provide detailed information to quality assurance.
  • Provide prompt status updates to supervisor and meet agreed-upon milestones for work assignments
  • Position may require off-hours accessibility for technical support assistance

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with C# and .NET architecture including ASP.NET
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and comfortable with multi-tasking
  • Strong understanding of object oriented programming concepts
  • Experience with the MS Visual Studio suite of tools
  • Extensive SQL experience
  • Extensive WCF Web Services experience
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft BizTalk Server is a plus
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2003 and 2008
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Test Driven Development is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years of professional experience in Microsoft C# software development
  • Knowledge, understanding and appreciation for creation of high quality software using various software development life cycles and quality assurance practices
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience (year for year)
