As our Controller you will help take the accounting function to the next level as our business continues to grow and evolve. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as an accountant, preferably in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, you will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes. You will produce thorough financial-status reports for senior management to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and assist in implementing accounting best practices for the Finance & Accounting function
· Review AP invoices processed by the AP team and ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors
· Review and approve weekly payment reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations
· Develop, improve, and present monthly financial records for top management
· Be responsible for the GL and reconcile balance sheet and income accounts - cash, credit cards, AR, AP, sales tax returns, payroll suspense, etc
· Review expenses, including payroll, for multiple corporate entities
· Reconcile revenue from high volume ACH and credit card transactions to the merchant processor
· Manage and reconcile Intercompany and Related Party accounting for multiple entities
· Maintain accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
· Month end closing processes, including monthly accrual accounting and journal entries.
· Ensure timely and consistent process for maintaining financial records and documentation
· Assist with required tax filings
· Perform other assigned accounting, finance or administrative tasks as required
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field
· 7 years of accounting experience
· CPA certification Preferred
· Experience in healthcare insurance or technology is a plus
· Solid knowledge of GAAP principles including ASC 606
· Experience Importing data from foreign systems to handle accounting and reconciliation requirements
· Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of MSFT Business Central ERP highly preferred
· Experience and familiarity with accounting and finance tools, such as QuickBooks, preferred
· Highly organized and the greatest attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and communication skills with a customer service orientation towards related internal and external partners
· Self-sufficient problem solver with a roll up your sleeves attitude
