The Systems Engineer shall serve as a technical authority for deployed applications and be responsible for supporting all application deployment, administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, technical support activities for the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army (OAA) Information Technology Management Office (ITMO).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capability to perform all aspects of Windows Server 2012R2 and newer as well as greater system administration functions
• Collaborate with service provider to coordinate server updates
• Execute system administration functions within the scope of the service provider memorandum of understanding
• Perform application software and OS level patches based on system scans or as requested by service provider
• Provide daily application monitoring and remediation to ensure applications remain available
• Resolve server incidents as needed
• Perform server upgrade and migrations to Azure cloud
• Create and maintain implementation, strategies, system architecture diagrams, and other documentation to perform upgrades and migrations
• Assist ISSO with system authorization package in eMass 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Support the day-to-day operations and activities of the Hosting and Administration Team
• Work with ISSO to manage RMF accredited packages for the assigned IT boundaries by providing evidence for STIGs and addressing eMASS controls
• Work with hosting providers: MS Azure, Joint Service Provider (JSP), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), cArmy (Army Cloud)
• Support preparation of reports to all levels of management, as needed
• Coordinate with internal and external organizations to assure timely resolutions for problems with supported applications
