Superior Staffing & Services is Hiring a Benefits Coordinator Near Honolulu, HI

Job Summary:

The Benefits Coordinator position assists Employee Benefit Consultants with insurance quotes, new clients, renewals, and all other transactions and servicing. The Benefits Coordinator works with all insurance carriers, dealing with health and welfare benefits. The position will also maintain the Companies database and files and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, knowledge of dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, and wellness
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment
  • Maintain employee benefits database systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in the system for proper
  • Assist employers with health, dental, life and other related benefit
  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier
  • Assist Employer with COBRA when needed
  • Assist Companies in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company
  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee
  • Assist Companies in completing benefits reporting
  • Other duties as

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of employee benefits 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar
  • Good command of Zoom, Teams and Google

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in similar role
  • Willing to take insurance licenses test and pass
