Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 40 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,500 full-time Court employees. Located in Southern California, Los Angeles County is geographically one of the nation's largest counties, covering 4,084 square miles and, with over 10,400,000 residents, is also one of its most populous counties.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Los Angeles Superior Court is seeking dynamic, well-qualified, and highly-motivated individuals to fill the position of Business Systems Analyst III within its Court Technology Services department based in Los Angeles, California.
Business Systems Analyst III is the advanced journey-level class in the business systems analyst class series. Incumbents perform complex systems analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of Court systems, programs, and projects. Incumbents coordinate and act as project leader on unit projects, including performing business process documentation and reengineering, meeting with users to determine user needs and customer requirements, defining project scope, analyzing, and designing system requirements, and making recommendations on proposed systems, software, upgrades, modifications, automation, and solutions. Incumbents are expected to exercise sound independent judgment in leading and overseeing the development, modification, enhancement, and installation of systems and applications that meet customer business and operational requirements efficiently and cost-effectively.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
To qualify, you must meet one of the following minimum requirements at the time of filing:
OPTION I: Two (2) years of experience in performing business application support and business process analyses as a Business Systems Analyst II.
OPTION II: Graduation from a four-year college or university and five years of experience in performing user support, testing, and related functions for Court case management systems or other large-scale business applications, at least two (2) of which include coordinating and serving as a project leader on systems development and enhancement projects; working with users to identify needs for moderate to complex systems modifications and enhancements; or developing specifications, testing modifications, and coordinating with programmers to ensure customer requirements are met.
Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
