Description
The Yard Jockey Driver will coordinate the availability and positioning of trucks for timely loading by the night crew. The Yard Jockey Driver will move empty and full trailers to and from the warehouse loading area. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Company regulations. The Yard Jockey Driver will also be called upon to help out in the warehouse as necessary. They will assist in loading trucks, moving products, and additional duties as assigned.

Yard Jockey Driver Duties:
-
Safely move trucks & trailers on-site
-
Coordinate truck and trailer location with warehouse staff
-
Communicate effectively with associates and management
-
Keep supervisors informed of tractor and trailer availability
-
Responsible for parking right trailers in the right sequence of canopy for loading
-
Move tractors to drop and hook trailers in the yard
-
Visually survey the company site during the approach to determine hazards
-
Assist in warehouse as necessary
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
-
Must be able to operate a yard truck safely
-
Forklift experience preferred
-
Class A CDL license is preferred but not required
-
Ability to maneuver 168-pound kegs and 35-pound cases consistently
-
Switching experience is preferred but not required
