Description

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Digital Marketing Coordinator in Kansas City! The Digital Marketing Coordinator collaborates with Marketing and their stakeholder partners to develop, execute, maintain and analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing content, strategies and initiatives to support company business and profit goals. The Web & Digital Marketing Specialist ensures the company’s multi-channel digital presence runs smoothly and proactively strives to safeguard and uphold internal processes and procedures to ensure the digital presence of the company stays within compliance rules and regulations. With primary website responsibility, the goal of this role is to accelerate ‘moving the needle’ to grow and increase overall online and social presence.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Director, entire Marketing team internal teams, and stakeholder partners on marketing strategies and initiatives associated with the digital realm across all brands;
  • Support Marketing initiatives through full lifecycle of digital marketing needs;
  • Lead use and adoption of various types of software and online tools for digital marketing
  • Assist in production of digital marketing materials
  • Develop and execute digital strategies; analyze website, social media and digital advertising campaigns and initiatives;
  • Curate and maintain key content for company websites and all digital channels
  • Oversee and administer efforts for all social media channels utilized by the company;
  • When ready, help structure, plan and implement email campaigns, and conduct subsequent analysis thereof;
  • Maintain ongoing location listing management of all branches and offices;
  • Monitor digital initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable industry laws and regulations and that established policies and procedures of the company are followed;
  • Understand company brand and products; advocate for and safeguard brand compliance in the digital realm;
  • Help pull data from various web and social media analytical metrics tools for the development of dashboard reports and other types of research reports;
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on marketing effectiveness of the website and all digital campaigns. 
  • Remain up-to-date on industry standards to identify digital marketing trends and key opportunities for innovation;
  • Manage key digital vendors, including associated relationship building and maintenance of applicable, set budgets;
  • Help maintain existing marketing databases and digital archive systems; 
  • Be part of project team piloting various technologies and platforms with other departments
  • Help build bridges with internal teams to realize technology investments, like enterprise-wide CRM system, databases, email automation, etc.
  • Perform other duties for the health and growth of the marketing function, as assigned by Marketing Director

Education / Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent, preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ marketing experience in a corporate role, ideally in financial services, in website development, digital marketing and user experience
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS); ability to learn the Kentico CMS to help update website news articles, etc.
  • Basic HTML required
  • Strong SEO familiarity of practices, trends, etc. to increase web rankings, traffic, etc.
  • Establish baselines, ensure safety, efficiently interact with Web vendor
  • Technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms
  • Deep understanding of data and analytics coupled with the creative mindset to transition raw data into actionable insights and compelling marketing campaigns
  • Ability to interpret and translate data from Google Analytics, and similar platforms or services; (e.g. Hot Jar) – including heat maps
  • Ability to learn our reporting dashboards in SmartSheet
  • Social media monitoring – including the strategic upfront planning – for growth/to drive traffic, etc. – and evaluate and proactively provide suggestions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong organization skills and effective multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred but not required, Skill Sets:

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in video editing and production
  • Creative copywriting skills
