Commercial Operations Manager
Job Description:

Job Duties:
- Maintain daily communication with Director of Operations and crews
- Manage project flow while supervising panel teams, electricians, and ground crews
- Provide Quality Control of installation [operations] crew
- Ensure operations crews have and use equipment required to perform installations
- Ensure operations crews have and use correct safety equipment to perform installations
- Provide audits of crew vehicles and ensure crew leaders are performing safety checks and maintaining DOT compliance
- Review equipment for safety needs and report maintenance issues; including but not limited to: bobcats, power lifts, forklifts
- Audit and report any noncompliance to Director of Operations
- Communicate any operation needs to the proper departments and/or the Director of Operations
- Audit, review and promote production goals as set forth by the Company
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Serve as liaison between customer and the company
- Act as point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants
- Educate customers on use of system
- Issue all appropriate paperwork
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports within CRM
- Make certain customer needs are met as the project evolves
- Rent equipment as needed
- May be required to speak with previous customers, not on their current list, to aid in the resolution of problems and questions.
- Coordinate between service and install to ensure vacations days and job scheduling is efficient and in the best interest of the Company
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma and equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Prior knowledge of Sun Solar and Smart Energy Solutions operations preferred
- Will be required to travel occasionally
- Knowledge of solar installation practices and of the solar industry
- Must be able to be proficient in high stress and fast paced work environments
- Be available by phone after hours
