Potelco was founded in 1965 as a private business in Sumner, Washington. We currently employ over 900 people across 16 regional offices and we provide comprehensive electric utility construction services. Our fleet operations are located in Puyallup, Washington and we have over 3,500 pieces of equipment.

Position

Potelco is looking for engineers for both design work and project management, in Sumner WA.

Responsibilities:

• Work across the existing facilities with a focus on utilities
• Resolve issues and escalate risks
• Drive effective writing, revise and roll out of accurate operational procedures, training materials, and maintenance procedures for various systems
• Be involved in the design and planning of the new builds
• Manage budget, and planning of projects
• Facilitate materials and track materials on projects
• Perform technical design of public and private utilities impacted by large design projects
• Prepare plans, specifications, technical memos, and cost estimates for a wide variety of utility projects
• Work with a variety of people and companies to meet the expectations of the client while meeting the requirements of the impacted companies
• Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
• Take ownership of project tasks from start to finish

Requirements/Skills

• Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s)
• Construction and/or utility industry experience preferred
• Excellent written communication including spelling and grammar required
• B.S. degree in Engineering
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills working with local governments, and third-party utility companies
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
