Our interns work side-by-side with our project managers, project engineers, estimators and superintendents to gain exposure to all the necessary fundamentals of the construction process. Duties may include assisting with RFIs. submittals, schedules, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, material logs, cost control and project reports. Depending on skill level, as well as, the status/timing of projects, our interns will be exposed to all aspects of managing a construction project from project budgeting & bidding; to daily management procedures, to punchlist creation and inspections; to final project close out.
Requirements
Candidates should be enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or Construction Management curriculum. A general knowledge of construction principles/processes and a valid interest in pursuing a career in Construction/Project Management is required. Experience with computer applications for spreadsheets, word processing and scheduling is preferred. Other requirements include strong written and verbal skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment and the ability to performs duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
