Capital Markets maintains its own middle and back-office functions, including Risk Management, Compliance, Systems, Finance, and Operations.
SMBC Capital Markets, Inc Front Office Technology team is looking for a Software Engineer for their front office suite of application supporting trading, marketing, trade analysis and research.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on development using Java and REACT with TypeScript as the primary language,
- Work with other teams including Front office risk teams, trading desk, Quants, and DevOps to build state of the art front to back pricing and risk solutions,
- Continuous improvement of the development and release environment, tooling, and processes,
- Work closely with the operation team and users and provide level 3 support as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimal 4 years of experience in UI development with HTML5, CSS, React/Angular, Typescript
- Backend – SQL, Java, Spring, C#, Kafka
- Basic knowledge of financial products in the Fixed Income space.
Preferred
- Experience with trade flows, trade process
- Experience in Fixed Income risk and pricing applications
- Experience working with global team
