WHAT YOU WILL DO
Stryker’s Staff Industrial Designer collaborates with Global Marketing and R&D team members, applying user research methodologies and technical design skills to generate insights and concepts that lead to the development of innovative medical devices and systems. User Centered Design techniques are key skills required to determine appropriate user experience, ergonomics, function, aesthetics, quality and safety. The Staff Industrial Designer plays a key role in planning and leading user observation research, synthesis and prioritization of insights as well as creating ergonomic and aesthetic design solutions through 2D and 3D digital and physical prototypes. Successful candidates should have the technical and management skills to lead the team through the empathic design process from insight gathering to concept ideation and development. Merging an understanding of human and business needs, this role is expected to create high quality design solutions that can be commercialized. Our strongest candidates will demonstrate design leadership potential with the capability to act as an industrial design expert within the business.
