Stream is Hiring a Remote People Business Partner

We’re looking for People Business Partner to join Stream in our mission of elevating the quality of apps for billions of users globally. This role is open in Boulder, CO (US); remote/hybrid work is possible.

What you will be doing

The People Business Partner is an impactful and hands-on role for a person who has both the aptitude and expertise to advise and influence strategically while liaising with the broader organization to develop and execute programs, processes, and tactical requirements of the business.

This role will act as a visible partner to the business organizations and will partner with managers to address various business needs.

Partnering with the respective business leaders, the People Business Partner will assess global organizational capabilities, identify competency and talent gaps, consult on organizational design initiatives, ensure the development and engagement of our employees, and drive talent assessment and succession planning. This role works closely with diverse business leaders to provide thoughtful and relevant HR solutions based on a deep understanding of the market and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong partnerships and builds trust and credibility with senior executives and business leaders to provide thought leadership on people-related strategies; including leadership development, culture, employee engagement, talent deployment, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring
  • Leverage data to analyze and diagnose organizational problems to provide business insights. Uses this data to provide recommendations about strategy and goals, outline action plans, and frames data in a way that influences the adoption of action plans.
  • Engage on issues of organizational design, process, and workflows to help teams operate more effectively and reach peak efficiency
  • Foster change and transformation with business leaders and facilitate change implementation throughout the organization. Applies understanding of internal and external business drivers to guide the leadership team through ongoing business evolution and changing ways of working. Collaborates with business leaders and your People teammates to develop effective global change-management strategies
  • Drive the identification of potential successors and ensure opportunities are provided (e.g., developmental plans, growth experiences) to ready successors. Establish talent pipeline to accommodate future talent needs. Identifies strategies to influence talent development plans and programs
  • Foster the partnership with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging to develop plans for the business to drive programmatic efforts. Partner with Global Talent Acquisition to ensure alignment on the Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and strategic talent plans to reinforce leader accountability
  • Counsel and coach leaders on talent issues including performance management, high potential employee identification, and poor performer improvement
  • Manage day-to-day administrative issues including performance, PTO, engagement, etc.

About You

You have

  • 5 years of experience working in HR
  • Experience in working with various (senior) stakeholders
  • Experience in managing People Ops projects
  • In-depth knowledge of HR generalist and BP activities
  • Experience in working across different business areas
  • Detailed experience in managing and/or advising on complex ER cases

Bonus points

  • Experience in working in high-growth SaaS startups
  • Experience in working in tech-focused companies

Salary (for Colorado only): Our salary ranges are based on national averages. We have wide ranges so we can be flexible and determine compensation based on several factors including the candidate's skills, experience level, and location. For Colorado-based candidates, the salary range for this position is $90,000 -120,000. Compensation at all other locations will be based on the factors as stated above.
