Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting functions of a multi-company family-owned business now celebrating its 100th anniversary. 

This hands-on position requires initiative, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others as well as independently. The successful candidate will be organized, dependable, detail-oriented and be able to balance multiple priorities.

 Duties and Responsibilities include:

• General ledger maintenance 
• Account reconciliations
• Monitoring cash flow, accounts payable and loan schedules
• Preparing financial statements and other management reports
• Preparing invoices and monitoring collections
• Filing sales and use tax and other required tax returns in multiple jurisdictions
• Managing fixed asset system
• Supervising multi-state timekeeping and payroll process 
• Recommending accounting and operational changes as needed.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree (AAS/BA/BS) or equivalent plus minimum three years’ related experience required
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks, Fixed Asset Manager, Microsoft 365, and Sharepoint
• Prior experience with Human Resource Management applications is a plus

Training and supervision will be provided as needed.

Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; one hour for lunch.

Salary commensurate with experience. Two weeks’ vacation after one year; paid sick time after 90 days.
