NOC Technician (Night Shift)

We are seeking a detail oriented NOC Technician to join our Managed Services team! Work with our support and engineering teams to monitor, identify, and troubleshoot network, camera, and systems infrastructures in order to maintain customer satisfaction.

Pay wage: $22 to $26 hourly DOE

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6PM - 3AM and Friday (Subject to change)

Requirements:

  • Must be able to commute to multiple office sites (San Pedro and Long Beach).
  • Must be deadline and detailed oriented.
  • Excel at documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Provide efficient and effective communication with team members.
  • Must have a recent A , Network or equivalent certification and provide upon request (CCNA is a big plus)
  • Recent experience with a monitoring platform (Nagios, Solarwinds, etc.)
  • Must be able to qualify for a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card for security clearance.

Responsibilities:

•Proactively monitor and maintain the following but not limited to network switches, access points, servers, operating systems, network configurations, software applications, and hardware.

  • Monitor for incoming incidents via email or phone calls and respond within a 15 minutes timeframe.
  • Monitor to proactively identify issues on client network, VPN, cameras, and systems.
  • Perform incident detail gathering to effectively create detailed tickets and/or escalate to Tier 2/3 personnel within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Monitor and maintain camera systems, cameras, and scheduled checks to ensure camera systems and cameras are optimal.
  • Effectively deduce network and systems alerts to clear warnings, errors and misconfigurations.

•Perform preventative maintenance using pre-established best practice checklists.

•Rely on independent thinking and the ability to follow pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

•Maintain service continuity between shifts through Microsoft Teams.

•Troubleshoot Tier 1 and Tier 2 network, camera, and systems issues within the Managed Services scope per client.

•Create tickets for all inquiries and actionable alerts as well as escalate to the appropriate team as needed via following established protocols.

•Provide the highest level of customer service via phone and email.

•Document processes and non-standard requirements.

•Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Preferred Qualifications:

•1-year experience as network admin or systems admin

•CCNA or equivalent

•Conceptual knowledge of virtual machines

•Experience and knowledge of Windows Active Directory

•Knowledge of TCP/IP and data protocols

•Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
