Accounting Manager

Description

The Accounting Manager leads our accounting department. This individual reports directly to the Board of Directors and works directly with executive leadership, project managers and oversees all accounting functions within the organization. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

This position performs ongoing systems analysis and keeping up with financial services and software offered in the industry. This position’s duties and responsibilities include: 

•  Manages, develops and oversees the Staff Accountant
• Oversight of Accounting and Payroll functions
• Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
• Cash management
• Financial reporting
• Contract alignment with billings
• Year-end compilations for tax preparation
• Oversee and maintain accounting procedures
• Performing special assignments as needed or directed

Requirements

  What you can bring to the team: 

• 8-10 years of financial management experience   
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Extensive knowledge of financial/accounting principles and procedures
•  Strong leadership, analytical, collaboration, mentoring, and communication skills, including an ability to work well within all levels of the organization. 
• Organization and Time management skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy 
• Knowledge in payroll practices and compliance for local, state and federal regulations 
• Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
• Accounting Software, such as (Deltek Ajera (ERP), Oracle or Sage) essential but not required
• Project Management Software
