The Data Strategist leads the strategic process in a way that is consistent with the agency’s goal of bringing a strong foundation of our core vision and cultural intelligence/strategy offering for experiential marketing solutions that inspire creative ideas. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO //

• Leading the data strategy for a large-scale loyalty program (including its launch), working closely with the Director of Strategy and wider project team.
• Collating, analysing, and utilizing customer data to inform strategy development, including program structure, customer experience, personalization and omnichannel communications/campaign planning.
• Owning ongoing reporting – including development of a measurement framework – and, in collaboration with the Director of Strategy and client, ensuring all analytics include actionable insights.
• Managing relationships and liaison with technically oriented clients and stakeholders, regarding developing and delivering strong data driven marketing plans.
• Championing data strategy within the agency, spotting opportunities for data-driven work across new and existing clients, and developing the agency’s strategic offering.
• Providing data strategy support on new business pitches.

WHAT WE NEED // 

• Experience of at least 5 years working in an agency or client-side as a data planner/strategist.
• Must have experience in CRM and at least one other marketing discipline (e.g. digital, analytics, advertising, media), and understanding the importance of full-funnel dynamics.
• Expertise in campaign monitoring, reporting, and building measurement frameworks to demonstrate commercial success and improving strategic processes.
• Expertise in how to use data platforms and databases, with experience of briefing internal and external (client or other agency) data teams (e.g. analysts, data scientists or data engineers) and general knowledge of clients’ data ecosystems.
• Experience across main martech platforms (e.g. Salesforce, DotDigital, Adobe, Eloqua) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
• Understanding of research techniques from a 1st party and 3rd party perspective to generate right consumer insights.
• Great presentation and communication skills – ability to simplify the complicated and communicate effectively with non-technical and technical audiences alike.
• Good understanding of US data privacy and governance regulations (or passionate and able to learn quickly on the job).
• Strong loyalty experience, building and/or developing loyalty programs for clients (nice-to-have; can be learned more on the job with the right candidate).
• Comfortable working on a team as well as independently and has excellent communication skills
