Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is Hiring a Director Near Southampton, NY

Job Description:

Performs and coordinates integrated, concurrent reviews and provides all aspects of Utilization Review and Discharge Planning functions.
Responsible for the planning, directing, implementing, coordinating and improving the case management process.
Oversees the development of coordinated, integrated and individualized discharge plans including social work intervention if appropriate.
Align departmental strategic direction with organizational goals.
Responsible for staying current as Regulatory environment continues to change transition of care program.
Oversee the denials and appeals, develop policies and procedures, analyze observation criteria and usages, provide departmental data and recommendations for improvement using evidence based methodology.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

Graduate of NLN approved School of Nursing.
Current license in New York State.
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and Masters Degree in related health field.
Ability to effectively interrelate with all members of the health care team.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and create statistical reports and tables.
Knowledge of The Joint Commission and New York State 405 requirements.
Clinical expertise and evaluation skills, including extensive clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital including specialty areas.
Knowledge of legal aspects of health care.
