Description

The Receiver is responsible for accurate and timely intake and processing of shipments of all raw materials, including frozen, dry, and wet goods, as well as all other items received into York Production Warehouse. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the timely and accurate receipt of all deliveries to the Warehouse

2. Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers

3. Make all systematic entries associated with physical receipt of goods in Warehouse Management System in an accurate and timely manner.

4. Ready all inventory for movement into the Warehouse (item, case and pallet level ID etc.)

5. Operate electric fork trucks, following established safety procedures

6. Maintain cleanliness of work area throughout shift and at the end of the shift

7. Report any conditions that need attention to appropriate department (e.g., Operations, Distribution, Maintenance, Human Resources)

Additional Responsibilities

1. Follow all company polices and procedures for safety, including food safety, quality, and sanitation with regard to personnel, maintenance, and equipment

2. Cross-train to work in all warehouse positions as needed

3. Assist with inventory spot checks and other inventory-related activities as needed

4. May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require 

5. Perform other job duties as required

Requirements

1. High school education or equivalent

2. Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word Outlook) and demonstrate a willingness to learn new systems

3. Must have experience with electrical and manual pallet jacks and fork lifts

4. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis and to stand for several hours at a time

5. Strong attention to detail
