Stone Consulting and Management Services is currently seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team!

An IT Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with technical issues or questions relating to computer hardware or software devices. Their duties include providing technical support to employees through different modes of communication.

IT Support Specialist-Duties and Responsibilities:

An IT Support Specialist’s role at Stone is crucial to its operation. They ensure that all technical aspects are functioning optimally. An IT Support Specialist's duties and responsibilities may revolve around maximizing computer system capabilities and making recommendations like the following:

• Handling technical support cases through phone, in person, and email submissions for office personnel and field or remote staff
• Documenting and archiving case notes, in detail, through a ticketing system and prioritizing issues as needed
• Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components
• Maintain user confidence by keeping their information confidential
• Must be able to lift or move heavier items in excess of 20 lbs
• Must be able to travel onsite and work in a medical laboratory, wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed
• Must be able to work occasional after hours/weekends providing support
• Must be able to handle business tasks that may fall out of the IT Scope occasionally

IT Support Specialist-Experience Requirements:

• Proficient with using and troubleshooting Windows 10 Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, printers and network hardware
• Basic understanding of administering Active Directory, Office 365, and Sharepoint
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
• Understand that technical work must be executed with HIPPA governance and practical network security in mind

IT Support Specialist-Personal Skill Set Requirements:

• Must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner onsite while supporting members of the organization including Leadership, Lab Staff, remote employees, etc.
• Must be able to actively demonstrate clear and effective communication, both written and verbal
• Must be able to self-govern the day-to-day workload, prioritizing tasks and business needs according to urgency
• Must be able to take instruction from Network Administrator, and other staff members as needed
