Job Description The School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking candidates for a full-time, non-tenure-track, renewable faculty appointment as Teaching Assistant Professor of Music & Technology with an emphasis on Collaborative Practices, beginning in fall 2024. Candidates must have a terminal degree in a Music-related field, and experience teaching music courses at the university level is preferred. The successful candidate will teach courses in Creative Collaboration in the Music & Technology. Creative Collaboration is a sequence of integrated project-based learning courses that address collaborative performance skills, composition, production, and technological fluency. The ideal candidate will help foster a community of engaged and welcoming collaborative music makers, both through coursework and in community-building beyond the classroom. Additional courses will be assigned based on the applicant’s experience and expertise, and we welcome candidates with a range of backgrounds and expertise related to music and technology.
