StevenDouglas is assisting a growing company in an exciting industry with a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Finance to lead and oversee the financial operations of their organization. This senior leadership role will be responsible for providing strategic financial direction, ensuring financial health, and driving operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and compliance, coupled with strong leadership and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Leadership:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Provide expert financial analysis to support decision-making by the executive team and board of directors.
• Lead long-term financial planning and scenario modeling to guide business growth.
• Financial Management and Operations:
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
• Monitor and manage company-wide P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the finance department.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational initiatives.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and reporting standards.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company’s assets.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Act as a key liaison between the finance team, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and present financial insights and performance updates to the board of directors and investors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.

Work Environment:

This role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring flexibility to work both onsite in the greater Orlando area and remotely. Occasional travel to company locations or for meetings may be required.
