About the position:

IT Engineers at Stellar are responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to our fleet of Apple and Lenovo Windows laptops, software, and SaaS services. You will provide support to our employees remotely and on-site in our NYC Union Square office to ensure that all of the systems they need to make Stellar successful are working as smoothly as possible. 

As part of the Stellar Health IT team, this individual will have a lot of space to grow and expand his/her/their skills, putting him/her/them on a strong career trajectory in a mission-driven company. We are looking for an emotionally intelligent and empathetic individual to join the team. Your expertise will help us identify opportunities for continuous process improvements, and you'll collaborate with the People Ops team to improve the employee experience.

Ultimately, someone who is self-driven, committed to exceptional empathetic customer service and performing user/system administrative responsibilities efficiently will be successful in this role.

As an IT Engineer you should have:

• Minimum of 3 years prior experience with providing technical support in an office environment with at least 50 end users
• Ability to organize and prioritize individual projects, tasks, and tickets
• Openness to learn new technologies
• Client-facing experience, a security mindset, and a positive customer service attitude
• Working knowledge of wireless systems and basic network troubleshooting skills
• A problem-solver, analytical, and team-oriented
• Strong attention to detail along with a commitment to quality and confidentiality
• Good communication skills, ability to empathize and talk to people on a non-technical level
• A sense of urgency and a commitment to timely completion of projects
• Experience tracking tickets via ZenDesk or other ticketing systems

Desired Technology Experience:

• Strong understanding of both macOS and Windows Operating Systems
• Computer management using tools such as Jamf Pro and MobileIron Cloud
• Experience supporting and managing some of the following products:
  • Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, Zoom, Asana, Dropbox, Adobe Suite
• Experience troubleshooting AV equipment and basic knowledge of cloud-based phone systems
