Job Title: Manufacutring Engineer 

Job Location: Torrance, CA

Salary Range: $73,000-$100,000/yr

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to join our manufacturing engineering department at our Torrance, California location.

Responsibilities will include:

• Implement and analyze manufacturing plans and projects
• Design develop and transfer manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems
• Develop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes
• Interface with engineering in coordinating the release of new products
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
• Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations

Qualifications

Must hold a BS or higher in a relevant engineering or technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting electrical and/or mechanical manufacturing processes. Other qualifications include:

• Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office applications
• Requires the ability to work in a fast-moving environment under tight schedules and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
• Must be able to perform technical problem-solving and work closely with production personnel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to create and update assembly instructions and in-process record forms is required.
• Knowledge of joining processes, such as brazing and welding, is required.
• Knowledge of assembly processes, tooling, and print reading (GD&T) are required.
• Knowledge of bills of material, routings and assembly instruction development are required.
• Knowledge of computer programming languages (example: MATLAB, Visual Basic, CREO Parametric, Solidworks, or PHP) is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze design issues and develop tooling concepts in real time is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to capture and analyze data related to yield and cycle time is required.
