Corporate Recruiter

Due to substantial growth of the organization, Steel Craft Corporation is adding a Corporate Recruiter role to the Talent Acquisition Team. You will be responsible for large volume recruiting, sourcing, and staffing for our multiple manufacturing facilities. This involves screening, interviewing, and referring candidates for job openings by performing the below mentioned responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate the job requisition process and confer with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specification, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • Write job descriptions or reviews and edits job descriptions written by others.
  • Follows recruitment process and marketing set budgets needed to attract applicants.
  • Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
  • Initiates contact with passive and non-passive candidates for specific job openings.
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Actively recruits candidates and screens for qualified candidates, and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.
  • Writes and places job advertising in various media and works closely with marketing to post job ads on the company’s social media networks.
  • Develops and coordinates internal job posting program and writes job postings.
  • Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs.
  • Utilizes web-based applicant tracking system to maintain candidate data and post job openings
  • Source candidates through various outlets including but not limited to industry networking, employee referrals, Internet sourcing, alumni groups, school contacts, public organizations, etc.
  • Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.
  • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Performs reference and background checks on applicants.
  • Coordinates communications with applicants.
  • Files and maintains employment records for future references.
  • Works collaboratively with the rest of the HR team to accomplish recruitment goals.
  • Prepares reports documenting recruitment activity and effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Human Resources or equivalent required.
  • 2 years manufacturing recruiting experience.
  • Must have a sense of urgency and take initiative.
  • Must be comfortable with fast-paced, high volume sourcing.
  • Must be able to work independently and find creative solutions.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks, and prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with a web-based applicant tracking system.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable meeting aggressive deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • 5 years of full-cycle, high volume recruitment experience; specific expertise in the areas of sourcing, recruiting, and relationship management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of human resources principles, policies, practices, issues, laws and regulations, especially as they pertain to employment activities.
  • Experience with job-posting websites.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience with Paycom applicant tracking system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and techniques of structured behavioral interviewing.
