Job Description



A Rental Agent is responsible for using their knowledge of local real estate markets to help individuals rent residential or commercial properties. Their duties include meeting with their clients to discuss their ideal property requirements and price points, showing clients properties that align with their expectations, and helping their clients apply and secure leases. Those applying MUST be a Pennsylvania licensed real estate agent. 

Essential functions

  • Maintain a good relationship with landlords, management companies and clients
  • Prepare and gather necessary paperwork such as leases, rental information, payment stubs, etc
  • Compile lists of real estate properties with details regarding their location, square footage and features for clients
  • Promote the rental of properties through engagement in multiple listing services and advertisements
  • Attend rental showings with clients
  • Inspect condition of premises and organize for necessary maintenance on behalf of your client 
  • Evaluate clients’ financial abilities and research properties within their renting power
  • Assist client with submitting applications and procuring leases
  • Provides exceptional customer service always
  • Follows all real estate laws and adheres to all MLS regulations
  • Abides by the ethical and service standards set by the organization as well as industry standards

Work environment

  • Occasionally in an office setting 
  • Generally visiting of properties/apartments - sometimes vacant/sometimes tenant occupied
  • Could be exposed to weather due to travel and inspection of interior and exterior of dwellings 

Physical demands

  • Occasional periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking, walking up and down stairs
  • Able to travel as needed.

Travel required

  • Must be able to occasionally travel within the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas

Required education and experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of progressively responsible real estate sales experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced work environment.
  • Basic understanding of how to operate standard business equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English for business purposes.

Required education and experience

  • Real Estate License

Work authorization
