We are seeking an experienced UX Data Visualization Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX/UI design, and data visualization, and a proven track record of creating intuitive and visually appealing designs.
Description:
The UX Data Visualization Designer, Data and AI is responsible for the development, execution and measurement of complex solutions and associated processes which improve a user's digital experience. This position requires deep understanding of technology design and data strategy to enable User Experience required functionalities and thorough understanding of how technologies integrate with other related applications and best practices to develop sustainable platform solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and developers, to understand user needs and requirements for data visualization.
• Design and prototype user interfaces for dashboards and reports, ensuring a seamless and visually appealing user experience (preferably in Epic & Power BI)
• Create data visualizations that effectively communicate complex information to a diverse audience.
• Develop and manage data visualization guidelines, processes, and best practices.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and continuously improve data and analytics products.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design and data visualization.
• Craft compelling data stories for leaders and stakeholders.
• Partner with data analysts and trainers to ensure the adoption of analytics products.
• Collaborate with the UX team from Emory Digital to create consistency and minimize duplicate efforts.
• Be a subject matter expert in data visualization and coach/mentor others in the broader Emory data visualization community of practice.

Qualifications:

• Seven (7) years of experience in implementing technical requirements to support business applications OR a bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of related experience.
• Candidates with relevant IT, Data Science, Computer Science, Epic, &/or Project Management certifications may be considered with references and demonstrated mastery of facilitating and implementing application solutions, within relevant digital spaces for a minimum of seven (7) years.
• Epic certification in one application; Epic certification in multiple applications preferred.
