Steampunk is seeking Program Managers who are technical, creative, hands-on experts with delivering innovative technology solutions. Ideal candidates will thrive working with clients in a consultative capacity and will have experience managing teams of technical personnel to build systems anchored around our core technologies offerings (Salesforce, Databricks, Google Cloud, Mulesoft, Tableau, etc). Responsibilities will include leadership of teams for the complete lifecycle of solution development and deployment, from hands-on proposal technical support to prototyping client implementations and complete production deployment. This individual will ensure effective end-to-end solution design, to include integration with other technologies and solutions, driving high client satisfaction with the final solutions.

Contributions

Serves as the Technical Lead/Subject Matter Expert in IT, Data Science, and Data Analytics. Provides daily technical oversight of project team consisting of data scientists, data architects, database engineers, database administrators, and data analysts. Supports Project Manager to plan, manage, and execute projects in an Agile, DevSecOps environment - ensuring quality and relevancy of data analysis. Coordinates day-to-day project activities and client contact. Ensures personnel are qualified, eligible, and capable of performing the requirements. Advises the Government stakeholders of project status via reports, recommends improvements, and identifies and mitigates technical risks. Communicates with Government stakeholders and project team effectively and timely both verbally and in writing. Possesses technical qualifications in personnel management & supervision, IT, Data Science, and Data Analytics. Plans and manages resources, projects, and quality controls. Experience must demonstrate technical management and direction of large teams (10 resources) in an Agile, DevSecOps environment. Experience managing cloud (AWS, Azure, GCS) system implementations required.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of IT experience working in software development and/or data analytics projects to include design, development, testing, quality assurance, project/product planning, and product/project management.
  • Experience using Agile and DevSecOps methods and techniques required
  • Experience with Cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCS) solution implementation required
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, Government security clearance minimally at the Public Trust level
  • Must meet U.S. residency requirement
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline is required.
  • A graduate or higher degree is desirable.

Steampunk is a federal contractor subject to Executive Order 14042 and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.223-99 implementing the order. Therefore, this position requires full vaccination for COVID-19, except in jurisdictions where the mandate is barred by a court ordered injunction.
